The
Storyline
As part of the Christmas Design Bergamo 2025 exhibition, we are designing MIRABILIA: an installation spread across three sections in the most evocative locations of the Upper Town. The concept draws inspiration from the ancient Wunderkammer, or chambers of wonders, where rare and mysterious objects bridged the gaps between art, nature, and knowledge. That sense of wonder becomes the key to uniting three partner companies—Nicro, TB Group, and Antistatus—into a single, cohesive experience. We are overseeing the concept, naming, branding, experience architecture, and the dedicated website mirabilia.site.
Work in progress
The project began as a system: first, the overarching idea that ties everything together; then, the three installations. We developed the naming, visual identity, and experience architecture in parallel, building successive versions of the proposal from concept to completion. Every aspect is designed in detail: floor plans, technical drawings, and renderings. This process doesn’t stop with the physical installation but extends to the website mirabilia.site and the communication strategy for the entire project.
Branding
We’re creating a visual system that ties together three installations, three squares, and three companies. The name, logo, color palette, typography, and tone of voice all stem from the same concept: rigor and poetry at the same time.
The 3 movements
01 — WAITING · Piazza della Cittadella · with Nicro Glimmers of a time yet to come. In the rarefied silence of the Cittadella, luminous doors emerge from the darkness. Seven pillars of increasing size—the threshold of Mystery, perception before vision, a tremor before a word. 02 — BIRTH · Piazza Mascheroni · with TB Group The magic in discarded objects. A hut built from metal fragments, remnants of matter. What was once waste becomes form; what was forgotten once again vibrates with meaning. 03 — EPIPHANY · Piazza Vecchia · with Antistatus The revelation of beauty. Six reflective prisms surrounding the Contarini fountain. The city multiplies into a thousand reflections. Beauty becomes a duty: it must be proclaimed, shared, and made a living testimony.

Unexpected
Bergamo has been transformed into an open-air stage. On December 20, Franz Cancelli’s masks danced among the installations of Mirabilia. Works of art in motion, suspended between reality and vision. A traveling performance made up of glances, silences, and pure magic.
