The Future of Living

A home is not just a piece of real estate: it is the starting point for building communities, well-being, and opportunities. This conviction was the inspiration behind the event organized by Beplano at Hortus in Bergamo, dedicated to the presentation of Andrea Napoli’s book *La Repubblica della casa* and an open discussion on the challenges facing the real estate sector and housing policies.

The event brought together professionals from various fields, all united by the goal of reflecting on how the concept of housing is changing and what tools are needed to make the housing market more accessible, sustainable, and attuned to people’s needs.

Following the book presentation—which explores the role of the home as a pillar of social inclusion and the country’s development—the discussion included:

  • Laura Scaglia, real estate broker;
  • Alberto Dadda, a construction industry entrepreneur;
  • Diego Zanotti, Founder of Urbanio;
  • Andrea Napoli, author of the book, CEO of Locare, and National Director of Housing and Housing Policy for the UDC.

The discussion addressed highly topical issues: the evolution of the real estate market, new housing needs, housing affordability, urban regeneration, and the role that innovation, businesses, and institutions can play in building a more efficient and inclusive housing model.

For Beplano, promoting opportunities for dialogue like this means contributing to a culture of living that puts people at the center, fostering exchange among industry stakeholders, businesses, professionals, and public decision-makers. Because envisioning the future of cities means, first and foremost, rethinking the way we live and build the spaces we call home.

Our heartfelt thanks go to the speakers and all the participants who made this debate—rich in ideas, experiences, and perspectives—possible. We hope this discussion will be just the first in a series of events dedicated to the major issues of contemporary housing. The presentation of the book *La Repubblica della casa* offers a valuable opportunity to reflect on the future of housing policies and the strategic role of housing in our country’s development.
